Why We Made This Dress

A dress that is all things chic, flattering, and functional. Because we decide the dress code.

----

Understated Design: The details make a difference. The perfect collar height — that sits elegantly away from your neck. Princess seams — that give your shape credit, while allowing for a comfortable, loose fit.

Quality Materials: If you're not familiar with Pima cotton, buckle up. It's softness and breathability is going to make it your new favorite material.

Functional Details: Pockets in the perfect place. Unlined, because one-pieces are not practical on the golf course (IYKYK).

Authentically You: You set the dress code.

So soft and comfortable! I’m 5’10” and it’s not too short on me! I love the pockets and it’s so flattering so you don’t look like you’re wearing a garbage!

Good Dress - 3.5 Stars

Overall, this is a really cute and comfortable dress! I will wear this dress casually, but I don't think I will wear this version of the dress on the golf course due to the cons listed later in this review. I love supporting small businesses so I hope the SM team can continue to refine the design! :)

Fit Summary: I am 5'9" and usually wear a M top (36C / 34D chest) and L bottom / dresses. I went with the Large and it seems to fit true to size as it fits similar to many other brands that make golf dresses. My guess is that if I would have ordered a medium it would have been good up top but more snug than I like in the midsection.

Pros: Fabric is soft, no itchy tag by the neck (label is printed inside), the mock collar makes it appropriate for most golf club dress codes, no built in shorts so you can wear what you like underneath and not have to remove your whole dress when going to the bathroom, easily accessible pockets on each side of the dress in case you wear shorts underneath without pockets, and it's reasonably priced.

Cons / desired changes: (1) The neck is very big for a mock collar and looks comically big. The neck hole could be significantly smaller. (2) This dress is on the short side for my height (5'9"). I like he length from the front but it looks short from the back. I think they could get away with making it an inch or two longer in the back to cover the assets. (3) While the fabric isn't 'bad', I wouldn't wear this in 90+ degree weather. It might be soft and breathable, but I don't think it's made to be sweat-wicking. Because of this, the dress tends to get 'stuck' on shorts if they're a similar fabric resulting in a lot of pulling down and adjusting.
