Sierra Madre Golf was founded on one unshakeable belief: women should never be an afterthought. Bonny Riddle and Michelle Anderson, coming from different worlds but sharing the same vision, set out to create women's golf apparel that helps women feel like the badasses they are — both on and off the course.
Bonny Riddle
For Bonny, the journey to Sierra Madre started long before the business plan. After years of a fast-paced finance career, she constantly felt excluded from networking opportunities because she didn’t know how to play golf. One day, she said enough was enough, grabbed a club, and got herself on a course. The last thing she needed was clothes to be another deterrent. When Bonny saw firsthand how limited and uninspiring women’s golf apparel was, she knew something had to change. That spark of frustration turned into the blueprint for Sierra Madre Golf.
Michelle Anderson
Michelle, on the other hand, had been gathering feedback on women’s golf apparel for years, thanks to a family full of golfers—cousins, aunts, and grandmas who never held back their opinions. She watched as they struggled with ill-fitting, outdated designs, always thinking, “This is an industry begging for disruption.” When a chance encounter with Bonny in a yoga class led to a post-class coffee, their shared vision became clear, and Sierra Madre got its first design.
